Research collaboration with Titan Cement to develop an AI system to enhance worker safety

Professor Dr. Mohamed Sayed Qaid, Dean of the Faculty,
and Professor Dr. Ahmed Bahaa El-Din, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development.
As part of its activities to provide consultations and enhance cooperation with the industrial sector, the request for cooperation with Titan Cement Company was approved. This cooperation aims to conduct joint applied research to develop an artificial intelligence-based program for monitoring employee movements within the work environment and detecting falls or other hazards while performing their duties.
This collaboration stems from Titan Cement Company's commitment to maintaining the health and safety of its employees by leveraging the latest technological applications, particularly artificial intelligence, for data analysis and real-time decision-making.
Through this project, the Faculty aims to provide scientific and applied solutions to industrial challenges by conducting specialized research that contributes to developing intelligent systems capable of improving the work environment and reducing risks, thereby enhancing occupational safety standards.
This collaboration was implemented in April 2026, with the participation of the college administration and in cooperation with Titan Cement Company, where the research findings are being applied within the company's actual work environment.
